KSPST Hosts Successful 2025 Executive Workshop

The Korean Society of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology (KSPST), led by President Dr. Hea-Young Cho, successfully held its 2025 Executive Workshop and New Year’s Greeting Ceremony from January 16 to 17 at the Westin Chosun Hotel in Busan. The event brought together the new executive team to set the direction for the year and discuss key upcoming initiatives. 

The workshop focused on planning major events, including the KSPST Commemorative Symposium for Science Month, Korea-Japan Young Scientists Workshop, Formulation Technology Workshop, and the KSPST International Conference. The team also emphasized strengthening collaboration with both academic and industrial partners, particularly in overcoming barriers in the development of innovative pharmaceuticals. 

A key initiative discussed was the R&D Promotion Committee, which aims to identify new large-scale research projects and foster cooperation between academia and the pharmaceutical industry. Additionally, the Job Pair Program was highlighted to connect young researchers with industry professionals, enhancing career opportunities and driving innovation. 

President Dr. Cho emphasized the Society’s commitment to leading the development of innovative medicines and enhancing global collaboration to strengthen Korea’s pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
