With my great pleasure, welcome all the participants and members to the 2020 International Conference of the Korean Society of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology (KSPST) on the theme of “Crossroads of Pharmaceutical & Regulatory Sciences towards Innovative Drug Development.” We really hope that you and your family have been doing well, keeping safe from COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the unprecedented quarantine crisis, this conference will be virtually held from the 19th to 20th of November this year. All the “live” presentation videos and discussion to be produced at the K Hotel Seoul as the venue for invited speakers will be broadcast via real-time streaming on the KSPST conference webhome, as well as the posters and useful information will be freely accessible, to all the on-line participants.

The KSPST Organizing Committee has put their utmost efforts in preparing the conference program to reflect on the global innovations and progress in Pharmaceutics. The program composed of two plenary lectures, twelve scientific sessions, KSPST award lectures, and poster presentation includes various topics of expertise in drug delivery, formulation development, biopharmaceutical study, regulatory science, pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality. Therefore, it will be a great opportunity for multi-disciplinary participants from academia, pharmaceutical industry, and government to share and discuss the most up-to-date research findings, industrial trends, and regulatory updates in drug development and pharmaceutical technology. During this conference, several squares of social networking and scholarly interaction among colleagues over pharmaceutical scientist societies will also be prepared.

The professional meeting and scientific information sharing through the virtual conference should continue even if it may be challenging in the COVID-19 pandemic situation. We would like to express our deep gratitude for your participation in the KSPST conference and sincerely hope that all of you have a great, meaningful time on this conference.
